Bud Ellison  > The Amalfi Coast & Tuscany > A Visit to Pompeii & Naples
Exploration of the archeological site of Pompeii offers an unparalleled view of Roman life. Pompeii was buried by the ashes of the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. We were able to walk the streets of this ancient city and discover some of its most significant monuments.
The National Archeological Musem in Naples showcases statuary, bronzes, ceramics, glass vases, jewelry, cameos, paintings and mosaics rescued from the diggings at Pompeii, Herculaneum and Stabia.
